A tool to reach the youth.

A tool to reach young people attending high school.

This book can be carried in a schoolbag and gifted by the Christian teenager to their non-Christian friends.

The Gospel of John written as a ministry to attract students.

What is The Life Book?

It’s a unique take on the Gospel of John, written with young people in mind – full of relatable notes, questions, and insights that speak to a high schooler’s life and faith journey. It’s designed for teens, by teens, to be shared with teens.

Why now?

Let’s be honest – most students today have never held a Bible, let alone read one. Many schools no longer allow external groups like Gideons to hand them out. That’s where The Life Book comes in. This project flips the script: instead of adults handing out Scripture , it empowers Christian teens to be the missionaries, sharing faith with their mates in a way that’s personal, low-key, and meaningful.

How does it work?

Youth group members carry a few Life Books in their bags. When a conversation opens up or someone’s going through a tough time, they simply offer one as a gift. No pressure – just a real, honest opportunity to connect someone with Jesus.

Where it all began

Where did this idea come from?

PWT

The Life Book started in the US in 2009. Since then, over 59 million have been shared through youth groups in high schools across America. Now, New Zealand is the first country outside the US to launch this two-year pilot. We’re trusting in God’s timing and Kiwi teens’ courage to take this forward.

What about the traditional pocket Testaments?

We’re still offering the classic New Testament + Psalms + Proverbs, which many of you will remember receiving back in the day. The Life Book is an extra tool to connect with this generation in a way that makes sense for them.
